![]() where an alien crashes onto Earth and befriends human children, even the two letters in his name are both after “E” and “T.” Another thing to toss into this perspective would probably have to be a common trope in the Ultra franchise where a single child would find an alien or baby Kaiju and hell erupts because they took care of the creature. Obviously this shares a lot of beats with E.T. The little alien that crashed on Earth and was found by one of the antagonists, Damon. In the end, you get to enjoy satisfying fights that evoke the mind in many ways.įurther in we get to witness the backstory of one of these aliens, FU. Here we have an old school beat em up video game and the other we get to is a modern action game. Again this bit just reminds me of that Changerion episode I mentioned where two different realities parallel each other, but have their own unique events. ![]() It parallels NMH3’s main plot where Travis has to fight off the evil aliens, even ten of them in fact. Then a funny thing to note is how Travis doesn’t remember where the plot of this story deals with ten evil aliens and one hero needing to stop them. A game never stays away these days thanks to companies or even the internet pirate keeping it up for someone to play. Certainly reminds me of the current state of gaming where remakes and remasters are all over the place or even just basic emulation on online services. This game was even remade which is how Travis got to experience it again. It emulates an old school game that not many knew, really comes like that special memory that just stuck with you. A lot of this Deathman while having a nice nod to Let it Die really comes down to an old memory. Either way I completely left things off without even getting to the story at all, so let us go right to it.Ī big thing right off the bat for this game was the first thing to see was something called Deathman popping up on the screen. I’m not just letting this be a random little blur in my head, I’m making it into art in my head. Again I can always admit I’m not going to be one hundred percent accurate, but there is nothing wrong with that since a lot of this is just for exploring and expanding my thinking. Even when you think you are just into utter nonsense, the fact your brain wants to see if it can organize things is awesome. That is always a bit of that magic with a Suda 51 directed game, it just lingers in your brain like a worm and will always find itself popping into your subconscious. Even when I do get done typing everything I want to say, I’m going to easily find that new thing randomly because I just stumble upon it or Suda just straight up brings up another movie he watches regularly out of nowhere. Finally, it’s a Grasshopper game done by Suda. Then I still got a young cat in my care who is extremely greedy for attention. Mix all of that in with personal issues and of course I was going to hit a block or two. Other big pieces would easily go with the Ultraman franchise where shows like Tiga, Dyna, and Mebius felt like great watches to have some thoughts on what No More Heroes 3 was trying to do. A big one would have to be the final season of Twin Peaks where the mood of that season was really intense with how it felt about Twin Peaks itself. I have also been making sure to watch new content to see how much would help me in this post and simply got lost in a trail for sure. I am always bad with juggling things and this year has given me actual reasons to hit a theater with both Shin Ultraman and Kamen Rider having a run and we even have a new Godzilla coming to us this year. Well it certainly has been over a whole year since I’ve been on this… my bad.
